Telecom Technician
Andromeda Technology Solutions is seeking a highly motivated, dedicated professional to assist us on the
Telecom side of our business in the Chicago-Joliet area. We are a 16-year-old, technology services company. We are an extremely
energetic, hard-working bunch, looking to expand our technical workforce.

The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience as a Telecom Technician.

The successful candidate will be responsible for working in the field maintaining customer phone systems,
installing and programming new systems, cabling voice and data infrastructure wiring, and various related
tasks.
While based in Lockport, IL, this job will typically involve an entire day of working at various client sites
throughout the Joliet and Chicagoland areas performing the above phone system tasks.

Requirements Include:
- 5-10 years of installing, programming, and maintaining business telephone system in a business environment.
- Expertise with 2 of the following 3 phone systems and their corresponding voicemails: Avaya IP Office,
Nortel BCM/MICS, and Panasonic.
- Basic knowledge of networking and the following items: TCP/IP, DHCP, etc.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills are a must
- Must thrive in a team environment and be a self starter.
- Off-hours work will be required at various times.
- Experience installing security cameras and/or door access control systems is a plus.
- Expertise with the standard tools for the trade.

LAN Technician III
We are seeking a highly motivated, dedicated professional to assist us on the networking side of our business.
We are a 16-year-old, technology services company. We are an extremely energetic bunch, looking to expand our
technical workforce.

The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years experience installing, maintaining and troubleshooting PCs, networks
and servers.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for administration, installation, configuration, maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting of network PCs, networks and servers at our clients offices. Equipment will include PCs, Printers, Network Switches, Servers, Routers, Firewalls, etc.
- Travel to customer sites will be a daily requirement.
- Friendly interaction with client contacts will be required at each site.
- Several different clients visits will be scheduled on a given day, and the ability to work efficiently and under a deadline will be a must.
- This ideal candidate will assist us in selecting and implementing new technologies. They will be key in keeping our company current and on the cutting-edge with new products.

Requirements Include:
- BS in Computer Science or related discipline; or related work experience
- 5+ years of Windows Server & Exchange administration experience
- Ability to perform typical advanced server, email, and network administration skills to include upgrades and maintenance of hardware, operating systems, LAN/WAN, DNS, TCP/IP, WINS, DHCP
- Proficiency with network/operating, email & directory systems (Exchange 2003,2008, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, Windows XP Pro, Active Directory, Windows 7 ).
- MCSE certification is desirable.
- Experience with Virtualization software and concepts.
- Experience with network / server monitoring software.
- Understanding of Citrix MetaFrame or Windows Terminal Server technologies and interfaces.
- Exceptional skills in configuring and troubleshooting network switches, firewalls, routers, etc.
- Excellent organizational skills
- Experience in project planning and management.
- Commitment to excellence in customer service and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Must be able to work outside normal hours in order to perform diagnosis and/or implementation of product releases or changes, so that normal workflow is not interrupted.
- Ability to establish, monitor, and achieve goals with minimal supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
