Voice and Data Technician

Tri·Com is seeking a results-oriented professional technician with a solid background in telephony and/or computers. This is an outstanding opportunity to install and maintain current technology in the form of communication lines, voice and data hardware and software, key systems, voice mail/auto attendant systems and computer-telephony applications such as Unified messaging where voice mail, fax mail, e-mail, and call routing are all in view on each monitor screen on each PC on the LAN and accessible via Touch Tone from off-site locations or your lap top on a modem connection.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Applicant will be responsible for installation, maintenance, and up-grades for a full range of communication products. This includes, but is not limited to AT&T® communication services, Nortel Network Norstar key systems and applications, Active Voice voice mail and auto attendant systems, Cintech ACD systems, Tone Commander telephone systems, Internet service, and voice/data cabling. Supervision of projects is necessary.

The ideal candidate will work in the Tri-State area comprised of a 90 mile area within and outside of the Chicago area within an hour and half driving distance from our office in Countryside. An ongoing training and certification program is available based on self-paced and classroom opportunities dependent on your drive and ambition to learn and grow within the industry.


QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
Installation experience with a proven track record - calling on and servicing clientele.
Commitment to customer care and building long term partnerships with our vendors and fellow workers with the ability to enjoy establishing relationships and helping customers solve their problems.
Problem solving/analytical/solution building ability.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
A professional, positive and enthusiastic attitude.
Telecommunications experience preferred with an avid interest in and experience with computers and software as a second skill.
